This Privacy Policy explains how DuckGift handles information when you visit duckgift.com, create an account, use checkout, place an order or contact support.
1. Information you provide
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect your name, email address, state, account password in hashed form, recipient name and email, order notes, support messages and other information you submit voluntarily.
2. Payment information
Stripe can collect payment-card and billing information through Stripe-hosted payment components. DuckGift may receive payment identifiers, status, amount, currency, fraud or risk signals, limited billing details and other transaction metadata. We do not need to store the complete card number or security code entered into Stripe Payment Element.
3. Supplier and order data
To fulfill an order through Reloadly or another configured supplier, we may transmit the product identifier, country, value, quantity, recipient information, transaction reference and other data needed to complete the request. Supplier responses can include transaction identifiers, fulfillment status and redemption information.
4. Automatically collected data
Our servers may process IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, referring pages, session identifiers, security logs and diagnostic information. We use this data to operate the website, protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and understand basic service performance.
5. How we use information
We use information to create and administer accounts; review registrations; provide the catalog; process checkout; fulfill and deliver products; send transactional emails; provide customer support; detect fraud; enforce purchase limits; keep accounting and operational records; comply with legal obligations; and improve reliability and security.
6. Cookies and sessions
DuckGift uses necessary session cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery and maintain cart state. Additional third-party technologies may be used by payment providers when their components load. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking required session cookies can prevent login and checkout from working.
7. Sharing
We may share information with service providers that perform functions for us, including Stripe for payments, Reloadly for digital-product catalog and fulfillment, hosting and infrastructure providers, email providers, security vendors, professional advisers and authorities when disclosure is legally required. We do not sell customer data as a standalone product.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for orders, account administration, security, dispute handling, accounting, supplier reconciliation and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain limited records after account closure where required for legitimate business or legal reasons.
9. Security
We use measures intended to reduce unauthorized access, including password hashing, CSRF protection, server-side sessions, encrypted storage for selected supplier and payment data, and restricted handling of API secrets. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Some records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, transaction integrity, accounting or legal obligations.
11. Children
DuckGift is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly offer customer accounts to children.
12. International processing
Providers involved in hosting, payments, communications and fulfillment may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal mechanisms for such transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version.
